Sheena Vultaggio

Sheena Vultaggio

Originally from Scotland, Sheena studied Music at the University of Edinburgh before relocating to England. Raised in a musical household steeped in traditional Scottish sounds, folk, jazz and prog rock, she began performing at a young age—making her solo debut at five and later teaching herself piano and guitar. Since 2017, she’s shared her music at open mic nights and other local gigs, finding her voice and confidence on stage.  Sheena is 1/5 of local band The LivinTones and frequently gigs as a duo with Tamworth-based singer/songwriter Tom McLoughlin.

Heavily influenced by Eva Cassidy in her teens, Sheena has more recently drawn inspiration from songwriters like Jenn Bostic, Sarah Darling and Jason Isbell. She gravitates toward music that tells compelling stories and evokes emotion—qualities that echo in her own songwriting.

Described as “folky pop with a touch of country,” Sheena’s songs are honest reflections of life, often inspired by her experiences, people she knows, or even books she’s read. After releasing her first original track Sent to Try Us in 2015, she deepened her craft during the 2020 lockdown, resulting in her debut EP, Behind the Smile.  Her next EP is currently in production, with a number of singles planned for 2025.
