JJ Lovegrove

JJ Lovegrove

JJ LOVEGROVE is a conceptual artist, composer, and performer known for her emotionally charged, sonically rich live sets that blur the line between the theatrical and the transcendental. Her performances have been described as part séance, part confession, combining cinematic sound design with dark-pop storytelling, drawing comparisons to Kate Bush, PJ Harvey, and Victorian spiritualists.

She has performed across major stages and festivals, including Glastonbury’s John Peel Stage, Dot to Dot (for BBC Introducing), Hockley Hustle at the Rescue Rooms, Barefoot Festival, and Deerstock. JJ has supported acclaimed artists such as Jesca Hoop, Another Sky, Natalie McCool, Roxanne de Bastion, Ed Cosens, DECO, and Briana Corrigan. She was named Radio Wigwam’s Best Female Artist in 2024 and is a multiple-time BBC Introducing Track of the Week artist.

Her critically acclaimed debut album ‘The Lines We Leave Behind’ is a conceptual work that unfolds like a soundtrack. She is currently collaborating with Mercury Prize-nominated artist Ed Harcourt on a new EP inspired by the women in D.H. Lawrence’s world and literature, reimagining his stories & the women in them 140 years after his birth. Whether on intimate stages or expansive festival fields, JJ Lovegrove continues to push the boundaries of performance with a spellbinding presence and haunting cinematic soundscapes.
