Ashton Spiby-Wood

My name is Ashton Spiby-Wood and I am a 19 year old singer songwriter for Burton. Just over a year ago I began my journey as a musician and started to attend open mics and playing some covers of my favourite artists. I quickly grew confidence and began to write and play my own original music for the public drawing on influences such as Oasis, Sam Fender, The Beatles, Stereophonics, James Morrison and the Arctic Monkeys.

I now have a collection of material waiting to be recorded and released for the public but currently the only way to hear me is live. I have upbeat, energetic songs with catchy riffs and lyrics aswell as calmer, meaningful relaxed songs aswell. I tend to write about my own experiences as a young person and the stories of others around me, hopefully creating relatable music that you will love.

Through my first year as a local artist I have met many likeminded people and listened and learnt to advice and tried to take it on board to create my own unique sound. Now I feel confident and ready to perform for anyone and give the listeners the best performance I can.
